Five women, come together for a holiday.

They just wanted to relax, laugh, swim in the sea and eat delicious, fresh food every day.

They didn’t want to think about restaurant menus, go shopping or spend time in the kitchen.

So for four full days, I became their private chef.

A fresh breakfast every morning, and a carefully prepared lunch every midday.

Morning Breakfasts – The Loveliest Start to the Day

As Kalkan’s morning light fills the villa kitchen, I get to work.

Fresh local cheeses, tomatoes, cucumbers, olives, eggs, seasonal greens, warm bread and coffee whose aroma fills the house…

Sometimes menemen, sometimes a herb omelette, sometimes a rich spread-style breakfast…

Every morning it takes shape according to the guests’ wishes.

Waking up slowly, sitting down at the table, chatting and enjoying the day…

These moments become one of the most special parts of the holiday.

For lunch, I keep the balance.

For a group that doesn’t want heavy food in the middle of the day, who will be going in and out of the sea and taking walks, I prepare ideal menus.

Fresh fish, grilled vegetables, olive-oil dishes, colourful salads, light pasta or protein-focused options…

All of it cooked with fresh ingredients from Kalkan and its surroundings, according to the mood and wishes of that day.

When they sit down at the table and say “it turned out wonderful again today,” that is the greatest reward for me.
